Nvidia is preparing to launch an open-source platform for autonomous AI agents called NemoClaw, according to a WIRED report citing people familiar with the company's plans.

What Is NemoClaw?

The platform will let enterprise software companies deploy AI agents that can perform multi-step tasks for their workforces. Notably, NemoClaw will be chip-agnostic - companies can use it regardless of whether they run Nvidia hardware. The platform will also include built-in security and privacy tools aimed at addressing corporate concerns around autonomous agents.

Nvidia has reportedly approached Salesforce, Cisco, Google, Adobe, and CrowdStrike about potential partnerships ahead of the expected debut at its GTC developer conference, which begins March 17. Since NemoClaw is open-source, early partners would likely get access in exchange for contributing to the project.

Market Reaction

The announcement sent AI-linked crypto tokens higher. The AI token category climbed roughly 4.8% to about $14.17 billion in market value, outperforming the broader CoinDesk 20 index, which rose 2.86%. Bittensor's TAO led gains, with NEAR Protocol and Internet Computer also advancing.

Why It Matters

The move signals Nvidia's pivot beyond its proprietary CUDA ecosystem toward open-source software as AI labs increasingly build custom chips.
