Baidu Launches DuClaw, Bringing Zero-Deployment AI Agents to 700 Million Users
Baidu AI Cloud launched DuClaw on March 11, a hosted version of the open-source OpenClaw agent platform that eliminates technical setup for users without server experience. The service runs entirely in a browser — no server deployment, image selection, or API key configuration required.
What's Included
DuClaw ships with pre-built integrations for Baidu's own ecosystem: Baidu Search, Baidu Baike (the Chinese-language encyclopedia), and Baidu Scholar. Users can switch between multiple foundation models including DeepSeek, Kimi-K2.5, GLM-5, and MiniMax-M2.5.
For first-time subscribers, the service is available at a promotional rate of RMB 17.8 per month (approximately $2.50 USD) during March. Longer-term pricing has not been disclosed.
Removing the Friction
In February, Baidu AI Cloud introduced a Rapid Deployment Solution for OpenClaw that let developers configure the platform through a visual interface on Baidu's cloud infrastructure. DuClaw removes the deployment step entirely — a meaningful shift for users who want agent capabilities without cloud infrastructure experience.
The service is currently web-only, but Baidu has announced plans to integrate DuClaw into the Baidu App, which has around 700 million monthly active users. Connections to enterprise collaboration platforms are also on the roadmap.
The launch makes Baidu one of the first major cloud providers to offer fully managed, zero-configuration OpenClaw hosting, as competition to serve the fast-growing AI agent market intensifies globally.
