Perplexity launched Perplexity Health on March 19, a suite of data connectors that plugs your medical records, wearables, and lab results directly into Perplexity Computer, the company's AI agent platform.

What It Connects

At launch, Perplexity Health supports Apple Health (covering Apple Watch data and manual entries), electronic health records from over 1.7 million care providers, and fitness platforms including Fitbit, Ultrahuman, and Withings. Oura and Function integrations are coming soon.

The idea: your health data is currently fragmented across a dozen portals and apps. Perplexity aggregates it into a personalized dashboard and lets the AI answer questions by cross-referencing all sources at once. Ask about your resting heart rate and it can factor in your recent activity, cardiac history, and latest bloodwork โ€” in a single response.

Where the AI Comes In

Perplexity Computer can use the connected health data to build personalized fitness and nutrition plans. Answers are drawn from clinical guidelines and peer-reviewed journals rather than SEO-optimized content. A newly formed Perplexity Health Advisory Board โ€” staffed by physicians, researchers, and health tech experts โ€” will review product decisions and clinical safeguards.

Health data is encrypted and, per Perplexity, is not used to train AI models or sold to third parties.

The Broader Race

Perplexity joins OpenAI, which launched a ChatGPT Health feature with Apple Health support in early 2026, and Microsoft's Copilot Health in the growing field of AI-powered personal health assistants. Perplexity Health on Computer is rolling out to Pro and Max subscribers in the US first.
