Perplexity launched Perplexity Health on March 19, 2026 — a suite of data connectors that links the AI platform to users' personal health records, wearables, and Apple Health.

What It Does

Perplexity Health integrates with Apple Health, Fitbit, Ultrahuman, Withings, Clue, and electronic health records from more than 1.7 million care providers. Oura and Function integrations are coming soon. Once connected, the feature aggregates data into a personalized health dashboard tracking biomarkers, activity trends, and lab results over time.

Through Perplexity Computer — the company's cloud-based AI agent — users can ask health questions that draw on their own medical data simultaneously. A question about resting heart rate, for example, can factor in recent workouts, cardiac history, and latest bloodwork in a single answer.

Privacy and Access

Health data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Perplexity says it does not use health data to train AI models and does not sell it to third parties. Users can disconnect sources or delete data at any time.

Perplexity also announced a Health Advisory Board composed of physicians, researchers, and health tech experts to review clinical safeguards and content quality.

Rolling Out Gradually

The feature is currently rolling out to Pro and Max subscribers in the United States first. Perplexity Health draws answers from premium medical literature including clinical guidelines and peer-reviewed journals.

Perplexity is the second major AI company to integrate with Apple Health after OpenAI introduced ChatGPT Health with Apple Health support in January 2026.
