Figure 03 Becomes First Humanoid Robot to Enter the White House
A humanoid robot walked into the White House on Wednesday โ and it did so on two legs alongside the First Lady.
Figure AI's Figure 03 made its debut at the White House as part of First Lady Melania Trump's "Fostering the Future Together" summit, an event focused on AI, technology, and children's education. Brett Adcock, Figure's founder, confirmed the milestone on X, calling it "the first humanoid robot in the White House."
What Happened
Figure 03 walked alongside Melania Trump into the summit venue, introduced itself to guests, and delivered remarks in 11 languages. Its opening line: "I'm Figure 03, a humanoid built in the United States of America." The robot then welcomed attendees and expressed gratitude for the invitation before the event began.
The appearance was covered by CNN, NBC, and ABC. Adcock's tweet drew over 5,600 likes within hours.
Why It Matters
The White House appearance marks a new kind of credibility for humanoid robotics โ not a factory floor demo or a tradeshow keynote, but a nationally televised government event. Figure 03 was presented as a symbol of American-made technology at a moment of heightened interest in AI policy.
Figure AI has been moving fast. Earlier this week, Figure 03 demonstrated human-parity warehouse sorting speed at roughly 3 seconds per package โ entirely autonomous, no teleoperation. The White House visit adds a very different dimension: the robot as a public-facing communicator.
It is the first time a bipedal humanoid robot has officially appeared at the White House.
