CopilotKit said on Tuesday that it has raised a $27 million Series A led by Glilot Capital, NFX, and SignalFire, giving one of the more visible agent-interface startups fresh capital to push deeper into enterprise software.

The company’s pitch is not another foundation model. CopilotKit builds the application layer that lets developers connect agents to real product interfaces, keep conversations in sync with app state, and add human review or intervention inside the workflow. That makes the round more notable than a generic AI financing story: it is a bet on the tooling around agents, especially the frontend and interaction layer.

CopilotKit’s announcement also says it is backing AG-UI, an open protocol for linking agents with user-facing apps. The public AG-UI repository currently lists integrations or support paths for Google ADK, Microsoft Agent Framework, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, and Oracle Agent Spec, which helps verify that the protocol is being positioned across multiple vendor ecosystems rather than as a single-product feature.

Some broader adoption claims in the funding post, including customer scale and Fortune 500 reach, come from CopilotKit itself and should be read as company statements. The narrower, well-supported takeaway is that investors are still willing to fund the infrastructure layer around agent products, particularly tools that help teams ship app-native agent experiences instead of standalone chat demos.
