Ethereum Foundation Adds pcaversaccio to Its Board
The Ethereum Foundation has added pcaversaccio, known in the ecosystem as pc, to its board for an initial one-year term. The foundation said the role is voluntary and places a longtime security contributor inside the group responsible for setting EF's vision and overseeing alignment between management decisions and the foundation's values.
The appointment brings the current board to four members: Aya Miyaguchi as president, Vitalik Buterin as founder, Patrick Storchenegger as Swiss counsel, and pcaversaccio. EF described pc as a co-founder and lead of SEAL 911, a member of the foundation's Silviculture Society, and the author of Ethereum-focused cypherpunk and privacy writing.
The move is notable because EF has been under renewed scrutiny this year over governance, research priorities, and the balance between neutrality and active stewardship of the Ethereum ecosystem. The foundation's own mandate says the board acts as a security council for EF's mission while also ensuring compliance as a Swiss foundation.
For developers and protocol teams, the change adds a security-centered voice to a governance layer that influences how EF allocates attention and organizational support. It does not change Ethereum's protocol governance directly, but it may shape how the foundation frames security, privacy, and long-term ecosystem resilience in its internal priorities.
