SWI Group announced an €800 million capital increase from institutional investors, funding an expansion of its data-center and AI-compute operations across Europe and the United States. The Euronext Amsterdam-listed company put its final valuation at €6.1 billion.

The financing brings equity raised since March 2026 to more than €1 billion, according to the company. New ordinary shares issued in several series increase its total share count to 558,399,385, while the free float rises to approximately 20%.

Power and compute deployment

SWI says the proceeds will support power infrastructure, compute deployments and its development pipeline on both sides of the Atlantic. The announcement also allows for increased investment in existing holdings. It does not give a site-by-site commissioning schedule or quantify how much additional AI capacity the financing will bring online.

The company previously confirmed acquiring control of Genesis Digital Assets, the bitcoin-mining business being renamed SWI Digital. CoinDesk reports that SWI intends to repurpose its U.S. and Swedish facilities for AI workloads while selling the unit's Kazakhstan sites.

Funding is not operating capacity

The transaction adds equity backing to that transition, but a capital raise should not be confused with completed data centers or contracted AI revenue. The release describes intended infrastructure spending rather than announcing new customer agreements.

SWI also disclosed that certain investors receive share-related options conditional on equity-capital-market milestones. For the AI-infrastructure push, the next measurable steps are deployment and delivery: turning the announced financing and existing sites into operational compute capacity.
