Meta Launches Muse Wonder for Coding and Long-Running Agents
Meta released Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full on October 12, expanding its model lineup beyond the lighter Muse Spark family. Wonder is available through the Meta Model API and Muse Code. Wonder Full is available to Muse Code subscribers; TechCrunch reports that it is not being served through the API.
The launch targets coding and agents that work across extended tasks. Meta describes two central capabilities: Active Memory, which retrieves relevant information from earlier conversations, and Active Focus, which aims to sustain work by trying alternative approaches and adapting to new information. These are company-described capabilities, not guarantees of reliable unattended execution.
Vercel separately confirmed that Muse Wonder is available on AI Gateway under the model identifier meta/muse-wonder-1.0. Its announcement lists a one-million-token context window, text, image and PDF inputs, tool calling, and structured output. Developers can access that route with a Gateway API key without creating a separate Meta account.
Meta says the models were trained at its Prometheus data center and reports improvements across coding, memory and agent evaluations. Those performance claims come from Meta's own testing; the launch announcements do not establish equivalent results in individual production workloads.
The availability distinction matters for builders: Wonder can be evaluated inside existing API-based applications now, while Wonder Full has a narrower subscription-based access path. Meta also says Wonder will reach its Muse agent soon, starting with subscribers, rather than describing that consumer rollout as already complete.
