Legora Raises $550 Million as Legal AI Revenue Passes $200 Million ARR
Legora announced a $550 million Series E on October 21 at an $8.8 billion post-money valuation, adding fresh capital for legal AI software that handles multi-step work. Atreides Management led the round, with new investors including Baron Capital, Capital Group and Fidelity Management & Research Company.
The financing follows a Series D that reached $600 million after an April extension, when Legora was valued at $5.6 billion. TechCrunch separately reported the new round and valuation.
Revenue and customer expansion
Legora says annual recurring revenue now exceeds $200 million, up from the $100 million milestone disclosed in April. ARR is a recurring-revenue measure, not a statement of annual profit; the figures are company-reported.
The company also says in-house legal teams accounted for more than 40% of new customers in the third quarter. The United States is now its largest market by revenue, and more than half of the AmLaw 50 are customers, according to the announcement.
Funding multi-step legal work
Proceeds will support North American expansion alongside investment in Europe and Asia-Pacific. Legora also plans to deepen development of its agentic operating system, including agentic intake, horizon scanning and legal research.
The practical focus is moving beyond isolated drafting or research prompts toward software that carries out connected legal tasks. The financing provides resources for that expansion, but does not itself establish the accuracy or reliability of those workflows. Customer and revenue figures describe adoption, not independent validation of legal outcomes.
