Daytona Raises $60M at $1B Valuation for Agent Execution Cloud
Daytona has raised a $60 million Series B at a $1 billion valuation, led by FirstMark Growth, according to its funding announcement and TechCrunch's October 23 report. The company says the round brings its total funding to $91 million.
Qualcomm Ventures, Samsung Next and Okta Ventures participated alongside individual investors including Stripe's Patrick Collison, Shopify's Tobi Lütke and Datadog's Olivier Pomel. FirstMark also led Daytona's $24 million Series A in February, TechCrunch reported.
Execution infrastructure, not another model
Daytona describes its product as an agent execution cloud: the computers, browsers and storage that software agents need to perform tasks. It distinguishes that layer from model inference, observability and management dashboards.
The company says its platform combines Linux, Windows, macOS and GPU sandboxes. Its argument is that agents need environments that start quickly, preserve state when paused and support parallel execution, rather than simply inheriting the operating assumptions of conventional cloud services.
That makes the funding relevant to developers building agents that execute code, interact with desktop applications or perform work across multiple environments. The infrastructure sits underneath those applications; it is not itself evidence that an agent can complete a task reliably.
Adoption figures remain company-reported
Daytona names Meta, Cohere, Writer and Postman among its customers. It also says Writer provisioned 300,000 sandboxes in one month after moving from an internal platform. Those examples indicate the workloads Daytona is targeting, but remain company-reported figures rather than independently audited measures of usage or performance.
